My week #47

This week, on my table.. Starting a new notebook and visiting the Photographic Portrait Prize exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery - I LOVE this photo!! / totally engrossed in this book / my 2 new favourite things in the whole wide world, handmade by Betsy - thank you!! After seeing the beautiful hand knitted hats on her blog, I wanted to order one for myself but we decided on a swap and so I sent her a little package made in London and she sent me this gorgeous hat and the cutest Pirum Parum (which I believe comes from this book) / wrapping up books for my Christmas books Advent calendar / preparing little party bags for M's birthday party next week / some happy mail in my letterbox - thank you Anaïs!

Just a month til Christmas.. Next week we're entering the crazy pre-Christmas period with birthday party preparations, Christmas concerts and Nativity plays, Advent calendars, checking out the Christmas lights in the city.. it gets crazy but I love this time of year!

My week #46

Reading a book with a nice cup of tea, a new blouse, a movie curled up under a thick blanket, spending hours in a bookstore, a cuddly story time, catching up with friends over tea, breakfast at the cafe (all on my own!), wrapping the first Christmas presents with brand new wrapping paper, taking the boys to the cinema, a wet autumn walk..
This week I have tried hard to appreciate those little things and forget about the parking fine, the gloomy weather and the torrential rain, the friend who stood me up, the little boy who's suddenly decided to be naughty, my nights being interrupted by the sound of coughing and calls of "MUMMY!! I need a wee/water/my duvet!"

The new year's just round the corner and I really really needed this neon pink diary! - well, not really, but you and I know that I just can't resist a pretty notebook!
