Egg-spotting at the Big Egg Hunt / beautiful Sasek prints - and postcards - at the transport museum / Y's first time bowling / don't you just love M&S Easter chocolates!? - eggs and soldiers = oeufs à la coque avec mouillettes / planning Easter half term - I wonder when M's people will become as good as his dinosaurs or animals..

My box..

Here's a few things I put in my surprise box for my 100th post giveaway. A lot of my favourite things, some of which happen to be Betsy's too! Postcards, chocolate and tea, a diary and a notebook, masking tape and sticky notes, a little bit of handmade, a little bit of London..
For more pics, have a peek over there!

My week #14

Receiving the first of my #PostCircle letters / my new trainers / looking for fossils at the Grant Museum of Zoology and coming back with shark and stringray teeth dating back millions of years ago! / reading books - check out the toy phone stuck behind his back.. / more snow!! / spring (!?) flowers / a trip to the science museum / starting a time capsule with M, eg a box full of stuff about how he is, what he's up to and what he likes today that I will hide in the cellar and take out in 10 years time - this is a letter to his 16 year old self which he loved writing! I'm quite pleased with the fact that his favourite thing in the whole wide world is going to school - long may it last!! We're having lots of fun putting this time capsule together..

London and dinosaurs

One last little thing for my surprise box - from this book - and with a little help from M, it's now all packed and ready to go.
Betsy, keep an eye out for your postman next week!

After seeing them here (in French) and here (in English), I had a go at making my own envelopes. Wrapping paper, M's colouring books, Frankie.. anything goes!
My first batch wasn't so neat and tidy but they're good fun to make.

My week in pictures #13

More little fishes / joining in Miss Beatrix's #PostCircle / making posters and wearing PJs to school for Red Nose Day / Y helping to bake another birthday cake with his new apron (and drinking the ingredients) / beautiful doilies from here / my box - nearly ready! / Y's first trip to the theatre / bringing winter hats out again! / another lovely little surprise from Belgium

Little fishes

I stumbled upon Junkaholique's whale and fish mobile recently and fell in love. Isn't it gorgeous??
We haven't got much use for a mobile in our house any more but I thought those fishes would be perfect to use some of my fabric scraps. I will probably turn them into a garland for the kids bedroom..

I made my first lot with Cath Kidston fabric samples and I'll be making a lot more..
